LIAT (1974) Ltd invites applications from suitability qualified persons for the position of:

Crew Control Officer

Job Purpose: To oversee the effective functioning of the Crewing Desk by ensuring that all flights are covered where crewing is concerned; in addition to taking the necessary steps in notifying crew members in the event of any changes in operations taking into consideration ECCAA regulations.

Location: Antigua

 Qualifications & Professional Experience: Associates Degree in Business Administration;

 2-3 years experience working within the Airline Industry;

OR Suitable combination of qualifications and experience that is acceptable to the company

Key Responsibilities:

 Maintain a three day forecast of all crew members to determine open flights and reassign crew members in advance to avoid delays and Flight and Duty Time (FDT) limitations;

 Prior to calling out a crewmember for duty, ensure that the crew member rest period is not disturbed in accordance with the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority Regulations. Ensure that Flight Crew are notified of changes to their scheduled duties in keeping with all contractual and company regulations;

Prepare and distribute daily Flight Crew assignments to the respective departments; Ensure all rostered training and checking events for Flight Crew is completed or rescheduled in consultation with the Supervisor Crew Planning;

 Ensure that the rosters are amended to reflect a true and accurate account of all crew duties 30 minutes prior to departure;

 Ensure Crew APIS is sent in accordance with the regulations of destination state; Monitor crew check in times (i.e. One (1) hour prior to the scheduled duties in keeping with all contractual and company regulations).

Ensure that all overnight stations are in receipt of the crewing information by 9pm daily;

 Core Competencies:

Knowledge of the Company’s Crew Management Systems;

Familiar with the regulations and policies relating to the management of crew duty allocations and qualification requirements;

Knowledge of Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Regulations pertaining to flight and duty time Excellent communication and organizational skills;

Ability to work well under pressure
